Anne Myers tells stories of her parents' families and early life in rural Kansas in the early 1900s. Life was difficult, and loss and sacrifice were common. Her father dreamed of becoming a medical doctor and moving beyond life on the edge of financial failure as a farmer. It is a story of finding love and working hard to achieve an almost impossible dream. But above all, it is a story of family bonds and the support and sacrifices of families so that some could obtain more. Proceeds from the sale of this book go the Jewell County Historical Society, which is a non-profit historical organization.
